ABSTRACT : If one considers fashion design as an adjunct in the communication of the body, it is undoubtedly by virtue of its ability to materialize thought. The creations resulting from the fashion design can indeed be considered as media productions conveying a meaning that can be described by neologism of designed meaning, accounting for negotiation between the body and its adornment, between the medium and its envelope, forming an in-bodied sense. In this sense, fashion design and communication presides over the manufacture of a body communicating values, visible and readable in a syntax designed – even if it is asyntaxic. Fashion design thus appears as a medium stricto sensu, insofar as its productions are conceived as discursive utterances circulating in the social space thanks to the body, from which it takes hold, which in turn is apprehended in these conditions as a medium.
