ABSTRACT : This article aims to show how printed and digital textuality imply two coexisting corporalities that shape the identities of individuals. First, the article explores the idea of solid body which indicates the relation that exists between individuals and printed texts, and which is caracterised by a clear division of roles between producer and receiver. This traditional communication system, supported by the paper book as well as by the author as a source of authority, is defined by a certain stability. In a second step, the article shows that this system is now challenged by new communication technologies and digital textuality. Through the idea of a conducting body, the study explores how digital tools create a form of fluidity in the exchanges between users, imposing its own communication standards and its own cognitive structures. Users of this digital textuality acquire a new freedom in communication and in the creative activity insofar as the Internet is a space of publication open to all; at the same time, the users are
linked to an archive of metadata and of omnipotent algorithms. This enunciative system is all the more powerful as there is no authoritative center on the Internet; instead, visibility is a source of power in itself. This new logic implied by digital textuality has resulted in a generalized nomadism where every user is simultaneously a producer and a receiver of messages in a stream of communication.
